This site is run by Beekeeper Studio, the open source SQL GUI and database manager.

The site was originally built by Cristian Gonzalez, he created SQL Easy while working at StubHub to help his workmates learn SQL easily and fast.

The idea was to create something that could be used with a hands-on approach to learning, meaning students must interact with the SQL interpreter in order to adapt and learn.

Since creation, more than 80,000 students finished the tutorial SQL.
